Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to information when you visit Fluffy Pancake Recipe at https://fluffypancakerecipe.com. It is written in plain language because a privacy policy nobody can read is not much of a privacy policy.
Information you give us
The only information this site asks for is what you type into the contact form or send by email: your name, your email address and whatever you write in your message. That is used to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask to join. Messages are kept while they are useful for answering follow-up questions and then deleted.
The review form
Ratings and comments left in the review box on the recipe page are stored in your own browser using local storage. They are never sent to a server, they are not visible to anyone else, and they disappear if you clear your browser data or use a different device. If a shared review system is added in future, this policy will be updated before it goes live.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, the hosting server records standard technical information in its access logs: your IP address, the pages requested, the time of the request, your browser type and the page that referred you. These logs help diagnose errors and spot abuse. They are kept for a short period and then rotated out.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Local storage is used for the review widget as described above, which is similar to a cookie in that it lives in your browser, but it is never transmitted anywhere. If analytics or advertising are added later, this section will be updated and, where the law requires it, you will be asked for consent first.
You can block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so will not break anything on this site except the saved reviews.
Analytics
If a privacy-respecting analytics tool is in use, it records aggregate information such as which pages are popular and roughly where visitors are in the world. It does not identify individuals. Nothing on this site attempts to build a profile of you or follow you across other websites.
Third-party links and embeds
Pages here link out to other websites, and the recipe page may include an embedded video. Once you follow a link or press play on an embed, you are dealing with that company's systems and their privacy policy applies, not this one. Video platforms in particular tend to set their own cookies as soon as a player loads. We have no control over that and no access to whatever they collect.
Children
This site is a recipe site aimed at adults cooking breakfast. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and it will be deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Since the only personal information here is what you emailed us, that usually means asking us to delete your correspondence, which we will do promptly on request.
Changes to this policy
If the site changes in a way that affects your privacy — adding analytics, advertising or a server-side comment system — this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made quietly.
